Thanks to Governor Stitt, the Attorney General, DA Tulsa DA Steve Kunzweiler, and the tireless work of Cindy Byrd in helping bring this matter to light. Students, teachers, and families deserve transparency and accountability. This is an important step toward learning the truth about the alleged financial mismanagement as the investigation continues.

👉🏾 This election has never been about race, political parties, gender, cartoons or catchy slogans—it’s about accountability and real results for all of our students.
Remember…through the state audit led by Cindy Byrd her team uncovered several millions of dollars 💰💰💰in mismanaged funds from the previous administration. That kind of oversight matters. It’s about protecting taxpayer dollars and ensuring resources are spent efficiently in our classrooms.
Dr. Jennettie Marshall and I have worked diligently to bring transparency and accountability back to Tulsa Public Schools. This includes requesting the State Audit and taking action to address failures in due diligence processes, standing up for the rights of students and taxpayers. We deserve responsible transparent leadership. (not back door deals) We also advocated for accountability in the board’s 7–0 unanimous vote regarding interim superintendent Dr. Ebony Johnson.
The progress we’re seeing today would not be possible without working together with Dr. Marshall for strong oversight and a commitment to doing what’s RIGHT for students, teachers, and families.
Let’s keep moving forward.
Oklahoma DOGE does NOT support TPS Board Member E’Lena Ashley for re-election.
It is not “conservative” to file a frivolous lawsuit. Hard stop.
Board Member along with filed a lawsuit against over what they felt were Open Meeting violations.
The Board Members lost their lawsuit earlier this year. With that said, it cost TPS over $500K in legal costs. The judge determined earlier this month that TPS can recoup these legal fees. This amount is still being determined between the attorneys. (Article in comments)

Board Member VP Calvin Moniz for Tulsa Public Schools District 2, esq. insinuated … ‘A waste of time’.😧
“At tonight’s board meeting, the board approved roughly ($760K) seven hundred sixty thousand dollars in additional spending tied to third‑party vendors and outsourcing with NO public discussion. Policy 1301 gives us clear tools to discuss and/or to pull items off the consent agenda when they deserve more scrutiny. Given our recent audit history, I believe we owe families a transparent, public explanation of why these increases are necessary, what options we considered, and how this spending directly benefits students.”
When nearly three‑quarters of a million dollars in new vendor and outsourcing costs can be bundled into a consent agenda and passed with no discussion, that is not transparency. That is rubber‑stamping. Families deserve to see their board members ask questions, debate priorities, and explain why this spending is necessary and how it helps students, not just vote yes on pre‑packaged items.
