𤔠= correct. Lori Decter Wright, Tulsa City Council District 7, did her level best to write a novel confusing peopleās understanding of what ādeficitā means after saying others were confused (spoiler: theyāre not). One of her minions teed it up for her and she shanked the drive entirely off the fairway ā³ļø. Budget deficit does indeed mean your budget expenses exceed your budget revenue (even if you later rob Peter to pay Paul). This council loves to confuse, convolute, and misdirect. Stay the course. Never mind her wild conspiracy theory distractions, either.

āš¼ Hereās an easy one: Why is Lori Decter Wright, Tulsa City Council District 7, trying to push a false narrative that people are just āconfusedā about what it means when your budget expenses exceed your budget revenue? ā½ļøš”šø

Thank you to all of the precinct leaders who take the time to organize, engage, and work to make our community better. Iām always grateful for the opportunity to speak and be part of the conversation.
If weāre going to have strong leadership at the municipal level, it has to start with choosing leaders who believe residents belong in the process. Government works best when citizens can hear the conversations before a vote is taken, not after decisions have already been shaped behind closed doors.
When a City Councilor supports workarounds to open and transparent governmentā¦such as sub-quorum meetings about the publicās businessā¦thatās a problem. Without access to those discussions, citizens have no meaningful way to evaluate or support whatās ultimately put to a vote.
At a minimum, anyone asking for your vote should be committed to open and transparent government including opening the doors to the public when a group is formed to discuss your business. That must be the starting point.

š I know Councilor Bellis actually understands and just wants to post a carefully curated, provocative photo featuring her āAgitate, Agitate, Agitateā tattooā¦But for those who arenāt awareā¦āIllegal Alienā is a term used in immigration law to describe a person who is in the country illegally. Her shirt is an attempt at virtue signalling. Thatās something people do when they donāt actually want to take action on something, but want their community to believe they really (really) care. She is in a position of authority to put forward a Resolution, Ordinace or to make an official statement on the subject but instead chooses empty platitudes. Good work, Councilor.

Letās call a spade ā ļø a spade: This is hilarious. I think we all inherently knew that they felt that actually calling a spade a spade was racist or sexist or whaeverist, most timesā¦.But I could never have guessed theyād outlaw the saying all together. Though, Iām not sure why Iām so surprised. Yes, this heartfelt statement is because someone was trying to ācall a spade a spade.ā

āš¼ Itās not just the openly far-left members of the Council we have to be concerned with⦠we know where they stand on transparency already. The Republicans on the Council also need to be asked a simple question: āDo you support the public being allowed in meetings where the City Council creates a group to discuss the Publicās business, regardless of the number of Councilors present.ā The answer should be a very simple, āyes.ā If itās not a simple answer, they shouldnāt be there.
For Christian Bengel, Tulsa City Council District 6, the answer isnāt easy. Instead he deflects and refuses to give an answer at all. He wants to talk about the State and not his own governing body. Why is that? Currently waiting on a response from Phil Lakin as well as Anthony Archie on the topic. It may be that we donāt have a single member of the Council in favor of transparency when discussing City Business. Thatās wild.

Bless her heart š¢ā¦Laura Bellis, Tulsa City Council District 4, is still very upset that Tulsa World would dare share an opinion contrary to hers. Thatās not surprising considering her history of using the legal system to harm those who disagree with her far-left views. Someone shared this so I figured Iād pass it along. I just canāt believe she is still so distraught over it š¬.

For anyone who tries to tell you Pretti ābroke no laws,ā just know they are lying to you. This is what obstruction and battery of a law enforcement officer looks like.
Still 1- Pretti grabbing the officer who is engaging an aggressive subject.
Still 2- Pretti reaching for the officer and appearing to try to disarm him or otherwise interfere with him.
Still 3- Officer pushing the threat away from him.
Still 4- Officer using non-lethal force on a violent subject.
Whether the deadly use of force later was justified remains to be seen as the process plays out. But he was absolutely putting his hands on an officer in an aggressive manner.

ā ļø Various sources around town are reporting ICE operations in Tulsa and, as expected, there is violent rhetoric on those posts. Our Tulsa City Council should take a different route than Minneapolis has if they care about the safety and well-being of Tulsans. Iāve sent an email to our conservative Councilors because the extremists on the Council have already made their positions clear (see photo). Hopefully they will take action.

š¤š¤Laura Bellis, Tulsa City Council District 4, has a lot to say about the government using intimidation tactics against people. But what about when she uses the government to intimidate people who disagree with her politically? Here are three examples:
1. Calling the FBI on other candidates to attempt to keep them from running for office (on video).
2. Filing protective orders that are denied in an attempt to deprive residents of their political speech rights.
3. Testifying in front of State agencies in order to harm people professionally that disagree with her politics.
Spare us the pretend concern for alleged government intimidation, please.

š” Fun fact: We donāt have to pay Bank of Oklahoma millions of tax dollars and we could keep more of our money for the projects we need. Instead, our Council and Chamber decide for us (like spoiled children) that we need millions for new parking at a wave park, and $10M for a museum, and $79M for a cooler theaterā¦and we need it NOW. So we borrow the money and waste precious resources servicing debtā¦.because our Council loves shiny things. āØšµ
