The Tulsa Arts Commission is coordinating with ahha Tulsa and Arts Alliance Tulsa to host virtual VISION Arts grant program sessions at the following times: 10 a.m. Mon, Oct 26 and 6 p.m. Wed, Oct. 28.

The VISION Arts Creative & Cultural Economic Recovery Program, a collaboration between Tulsa City Council, the Mayor’s Office, and Tulsa Arts Commission, will provide nominated 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(3)-sponsored organizations funding for programs that employ creative or scholastic talent to offer safe arts and humanities experiences to audiences. Applying organizations may request up to $25,000 in funding with no private match requirement.

Eligible organizations must provide proof of their own (or sponsor’s) tax-exempt status, details about the current and anticipated effects COVID-19 will have on their finances, and a justification of planned expenses. Nominated organizations will have until Nov. 30, 2021 to make qualifying expenses.

Before finalizing submissions, applicants may request personalized support from an independent arts and culture professional before 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. The Tulsa Planning Office’s Arts & Culture planner is working on the behalf of the Tulsa Parking Authority to solicit qualifications from professional artists and designers wishing to design a public art installation for the Fourth Street garage (the Project Site).

Qualifications are due at 5PM, Tuesday, February 18th.

The Parking Authority is investing considerable funds into the Project Site to reactivate its ground level. In conjunction with this reactivation, the Parking Authority is seeking to add a permanent, engaging, and interactive installation to the site’s façade.

The Tulsa Planning Office’s Arts & Culture Division is seeking preliminary concepts from professional artists and designers for a public art installation to be commissioned outside the forthcoming USA BMX National Headquarters

The project site rests in an area primed for revitalization and publicity. The new facility will house USA BMX’s National Headquarters, a state-of-the-art BMX track, and the organization’s Hall of Fame. The facility will host international audiences and draw residents and visitors into Tulsa’s storied Greenwood neighborhood and Downtown districts.

Artists interested in being considered should submit their proposals to the Arts & Culture Division no later than 5:00 PM CDT on Wednesday December 4th, 2019.

To be eligible for selection, you must attend or call in to AT LEAST ONE of the above-listed pre-submittal meetings. The meetings will be held at 10:30 AM and hosted in the Tulsa Planning Office: 2 W Second Street, Suite 800 Tulsa, OK 74103.

Purpose: The installation should serve as 1) a beacon for the newly renovated COX Business Center 2) a landmark for the City as a whole, and 3) as an accessory to gatherings and other programming around the Civic Center Plaza space.
