Calling all local artists: here's an opportunity to showcase your talents. The City of Tulsa is wrapping traffic control boxes on Route 66 with one-of-a-kind artwork. You can find traffic control boxes in Kendall Whittier that were wrapped with art as part of the 2025 incentive project. We smile every time we drive by them!

Tulsa seeks artists for Route 66 public art installations The city of Tulsa is looking for local artists to submit designs through July 1 for traffic control box wraps planned along Tulsa’s historic Route 66 corridor.

If you've ever wanted to check out Fab Lab Tulsa, this Saturday is the perfect opportunity. You can sign up to create your own mini Route 66 sign to celebrate the centennial of Route 66!

Participants will build a mini sign celebrating the iconic look and roadside spirit of America’s Main Street, with a chance to engrave a custom message that's perfect to take home and show off.
