Welcome Table Garden Park and Orchard

Our Story

At The Welcome Table Garden Park and Orchard, neighbors are welcome to plant their own 4 x 8 raised vegetable bed and help care for "share beds." Seeds are supplied by A Third Place Community Foundation. We harvest from the share beds for food pantries and clients may be referred to the park to pick an emergency supply of food. We encourage gardeners to label their beds clearly as family beds so they won’t be mistaken for share beds, but they are also encouraged to work in and harvest from share plots, especially those we have for large plants such as melon, squash, and corn. The orchard is a share area and the more you volunteer at the garden, the more likely you are to be around when the perfect peach is perfectly ripe. We are working on more picnic areas and hope to install libraries around the park where neighbors can sit and read.
