Academy 26-1 wraps up today, and tomorrow these three officially pin their badges, receive shift assignments, and step into the real rhythm of the job.
This week wasn’t just training. It was a reminder of who we are. Instructors, off-duty firefighters, and volunteers showed up on their own time to invest in these recruits. That kind of commitment doesn’t happen everywhere. It happens when people care about the standard, the mission, and each other.
Moments like this are why we do it. Building firefighters is important, but building trust, pride, and a strong department culture matters just as much. That family mindset is what carries onto every shift, every call, and every tough day.
To everyone who helped make this academy happen, thank you. And to 26-1… welcome to the family. See you on the floor.
