I've always been hesitant to talk about my experience as a teen mother. People often use it to make snap judgements about me, my intellect, my family, etc. Others expect an inspiring story worthy of a Lifetime movie. When I've been asked before I give some variation of "one day" and change the subject. Then I met Alisa Davis-Bell and something felt different when she asked. I'm so glad I accepted her invitation to be on her podcast and I hope you'll take a listen.

NOW available at TCDP HQ! Vote YES on SQ 832 Signs

Oklahoma’s minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 since 2009. Meanwhile, the cost of housing, groceries, childcare, and healthcare keeps rising. SQ 832 would gradually raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and help wages keep pace with the cost of living.

⏰ 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY, we will raise Oklahoma’s minimum wage for the first time in 17 years.
