5 years of having a kid on my hip. I once was someone who questioned if I wanted kids... now I can't see my life any other way. It's been the most challenging yet rewarding season of my life & I'm going to miss it so incredibly much one day.

5 years of carrying a kid on my hip. I used to wonder if I even wanted kids, and now I truly can’t imagine my life any other way. Motherhood has been the most challenging, beautiful, exhausting, and rewarding season of my life — and I know one day I’m going to miss these little years more than I can even imagine.

I don’t do as many shoot sessions as I used to (by choice), but becoming a mom completely changed the way I see family sessions. Especially mamas with their babies. I get it now.

As someone who’s always behind the camera capturing everyone else, I’m rarely in front of it these days unless it’s a mirror selfie with a kid on my hip… like this one 🤍 But I’ve grown to love documenting moms with their little ones because these moments matter. Capturing yourself with your babies isn’t just taking pictures — it’s holding onto a tiny piece of who you all were in this season, while they’re still little. ☀️
