“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.” –John F. Kennedy
We hope your Memorial Day has been full of remembrance and rest.

There is a vast difference between active leadership and passively filling a leadership position.
At September BA, COL Humphries spoke to 486th soldiers during our weekend of weapons training. He spoke to groups of soldiers and individuals about their purpose and their role in this battalion’s success. We pride ourselves on this type of active leadership. From individual squads and teams, all the way to the top of the chain, soldiers at the 486th have leaders who actively care about their careers and wellbeing and make an effort to be present and mentor at every opportunity.
