Do you know how women became a vital part of the Military?
1782: Deborah Sampson disguised herself as Robert Shurtleff and was the first female to join the Army.
1813-1864: Dr. James Barry was one of the best Army surgeons, when he died they discovered he was a women.
1917: WAAC, an organization for women to in supporting roles, was formed and over 100,000 women joined.
1942: Rosie the Riveter was born for the World War 2, which was a branch for women in the army.
1948: Made women a permanent part of military.
2015: All armed forces roles will open to women.
