Everyone please be safe this weekend!

Did you know 9 out of 10 wildfires are caused by people? You can help prevent wildfires by taking these precautions:

πŸ”₯ Avoid any activities that could spark a fire
πŸ”₯ Check any recent outdoor burns to ensure they are fully extinguished
πŸ”₯ Make sure trailer chains are not dragging
πŸ”₯ Avoid driving off-road or parking in grassy areas
πŸ”₯ Delay outdoor welding or grinding until conditions improve
πŸ”₯ Please stay alert and help protect our communities, firefighters, and natural resources. One spark is all it takes.

Good afternoon, Berryhill. We will have items that are up for surplus. We have 2, 3-head Samsung minispit units. and also 2 whirlpool above-range microwaves. We will surplus them through the sealed bid system, and if you would like to bid, please contact Tamera Tumleson at office@berryhillfire, and she will be more than happy to send you a packet. This will be out until the next board meeting to be held on 11/11/25. The starting bid for the mini-splits is $900.00. These retail for almost $4k, and the microwave starts at $50.00. Good luck and happy bidding!

Berryhill Fire just called the fire at 3300 W. 21st under control. The terrain and winds made the fire challenging, but no one was injured and no structures were lost. A big thanks to Tulsa and Sapulpa for joining us on the attack. We will be working and keeping an eye on things for several more hours, but don’t hesitate to report anything in the area by calling 911.

Crews from Berryhill and Sand Springs joined together yesterday evening to help our neighbors in Mannford. Other Berryhill crews worked fires to our north while a core group worked to respond to numerous fires and lines down calls in Berryhill.

Tomorrow is sizing up to be a very high fire danger day. Please be prepared, and do everything you can to minimize the chance of starting a wildfire.
