October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.💗

Tulsa County encourages our employees and community to raise awareness about breast cancer, recognize the importance of early detection and support fighters, survivors and their families. Today, our team wore pink to show their support and stand together in the fight against breast cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, about 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

This month, let’s raise awareness, encourage regular screenings and stand together in the fight against breast cancer.

Access to basic health care can be difficult when you’re uninsured. That’s why Tulsa County Social Services’ partnership with Good Samaritan Health Services is so important.

Through this partnership, Good Samaritan provides a clinic at Tulsa County Social Services, helping uninsured patients access basic medical care and the resources they need.

And when a patient leaves with a prescription, help may be just a few steps away. Located inside the same building, the George Prothro Pharmacy helps eligible patients access available medications through Tulsa County Social Services.

Together, these services help bridge the gap to health care and make it easier for people to get the care they need, all in one place. ❤️
