“We are deeply grateful to Lake Hills Montessori for the care, dedication, and excellence they have shown in educating and nurturing our two children. Their commitment to fostering a love of learning, encouraging independence, and building a strong foundation of respect and curiosity has made a lasting impact on their early years.
From the warm and attentive teachers to the thoughtfully prepared environment, every aspect of their program has helped our children grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally. We have seen them grown in confidence, creativity, and compassion—skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Sending a heartfelt “Thank you” to our beloved educators and directors for preparing them so thoughtfully for the future. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for the Lake Hills Montessori community.” – The Anglin Family

Today we honor the life, legacy, and sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His powerful words continue to inspire Americans and people around the world in the fight for equality and social justice.

The watercolor activity introduces young children to the basics of color and lets them explore their creativity. This activity is a simple, natural way for our students to learn the basis of color. 🎨 This 🖌️ lesson provides the building blocks of color theory so students are ready for more advanced work as they get more experience. 🧑🏻🎨

What is the button frame in Montessori activity?
To teach children how to do up buttons, Montessori uses a special button frame. It can be difficult for children to do up or undo buttons on their own clothes. By using a Button Frame, children can learn how to hold the buttons with their fingers and how to push the buttons through the buttonholes.

Through observation, Dr. Montessori learned that it was more effective for children to learn to write before being shown how to read. Children are working consistently on learning their sounds through sound games and internalizing the shape of the sounds with the Sandpaper Letters. After children know about 12 letters consistently, they’re introduced to the Movable Alphabet, where they can build/write words! Children often love to fill their rugs with phonetic words at first, then continue to use this work as they get older 🍎🍏🍎
