The Pain Train never rests! B-platoon doing work today! 👊
Our crews have been responding to medical emergencies throughout the day as usual, and we appreciate our community taking precautions on the roads, traffic accidents have not been overwhelming, which makes a big difference for everyone’s safety.
In between calls, the crew at Station 27 cleared the front drive and used the snow to make a snowman.
We have seen an increase in 911 calls for chest pain and other medical issues related to shoveling and outdoor activity. If you’re working outside, please be careful. Snow and ice increase the risks of slips and falls and overexertion can sneak up on you.
We prepared for a potentially record-breaking winter storm, but are thankful it wasn’t as severe as forecasted.
If you’re working outside, dress warm, take frequent breaks, stay hydrated and listen to your body.
A little caution goes a long way toward keeping everyone safe. Stay warm, Tulsa.

🚒 Always Prepared! 🚒
This morning, our Engine 27 and Ladder 27 A-platoon crews conducted a pre-incident building survey at Windsong Apartments to become more familiar with the buildings in our first-in response area.
These inspections help our crews prepare before an emergency ever happens. During the survey, we identified utility shutoff locations, storm shelters, fire hydrant connections, reviewed building construction, and—most importantly—built strong relationships with the office personnel and maintenance staff.
Preparation, knowledge, and teamwork make a difference when seconds count. 💪🔥
Always prepared to serve our community!

Today we humbly honor the 343 firefighter lives lost on September 11, 2001. Each firefighter arrived to duty that day not knowing their impending fate, but chose to serve their community as they had every other duty day before. Rest in peace, brothers and sisters!

We at station 27 want to take a moment to congratulate a couple of Tulsa’s newest paramedics!
Jennie teeter on A shift
Riley Rutledge on C shift
These two have spent almost an entire year sacrificing time on the truck to earn their paramedic license and this last week both of them passed their nationally registry!
After taking their protocol tests and getting a few priority one calls under their belts, these two will be fully fledged Tulsa Fire paramedics! Congrats both of you! We are all proud !
