Our latest group of graduates have successfully completed the EMSA Academy! After spending weeks under the guidance of Paramedic and Academy Instructor Kaise C. learning EMSA policy, procedures, local geography, and so much more, they are now ready to serve the people of our great OKC community with .

On National Move Over Day, EMSA and our friends at Asuntos Hispanos En Tulsa, Tulsa Police Department, Tulsa Fire Department, and Tulsa County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) are sharing some tips for sharing a roadway with emergency vehicles.

When you see flashing lights and hear a siren, slow down, signal, and move over when it is safe.

It keeps you safe. It keeps us all safe. Win-win.

Tomorrow, Oct. 17, is National Move Over Day, and EMSA is reminding drivers to make way for emergency vehicles.

Drivers should slow down, signal, and safely move over for emergency vehicles and all stopped vehicles with emergency flashers on. Not only is it the law, it helps ensure everyone on and beside the roadway remains safe.

📊 September 2026 EMSA Response & Transport Breakdown

Last month, had 24,308 responses and transported 18,373 patients across our Tulsa and Oklahoma City service areas. While volume decreased from August to September, Tulsa transport volume increased 8% and Oklahoma City transport volume increased 13% compared to September 2025 numbers.

No matter the month, EMSA is committed to compassionately caring for Oklahomans.

recommends getting an annual flu shot to protect yourself and your entire community! Getting the flu shot can lower your risk of getting sick and reduce flu-related hospitalization.

The temps might be unseasonably high, but it is still time for your flu shot! I just got mine from the team at EMSA. 10/10, would recommend.
