From NWS:

We are closely watching storms developing along a boundary in King County, these storms will have the potential to quickly becoming severe as they are positioned within a primed environment. Will continue to monitor and update as we see fit.

Otherwise, the forecast remains on track for this afternoon and evening thunderstorms as storms have already developed and will continue to develop along and near the I-27 corridor and track eastward. Sound familiar? It should because it is nearly the same set-up as yesterday! Therefore, expect the same hazards to be at play including large hail up to baseball sized, strong winds up to 70 mph, and the potential for a tornado or two. The tornado threat will be highest near the boundary across the Rolling Plains, but all that to say, the risk exists everywhere off the Caprock. In addition to these hazards, heavy rainfall will be possible which may lead to flooding concerns. Especially off the Caprock where the bulk of the moisture resides.

Marshall is riding sh***un today! Engine 1 responded to a minor accident this morning involving 2 vehicles on the Northfield Hwy near the cemetery. No injuries, and everyone is clear of the scene now. We have heard of a few people stuck in the mud. Y'all be careful out there! Stay on pavement.

Several trees were downed, a power transformer blew and a few houses lost power, and several streets were flooded. We know if a few houses with broken windows. It was a heck of a storm for one so short lived! Here are a few photos from the aftermath.

We're watching the clouds, please stay in and out of the storm, there's potential for heavy rain and flash flooding, large hail, and high winds. We're monitoring for tornadoes and rotation and will sound the siren and post here if there is a tornado warning for Turkey.

There's still time to sign up for this class if anyone is in the area and interested in getting their EMT certification.
