Good morning, Turner,

Regarding last night’s shooting event in Turner. This is, and remains an active Marion County Sheriff’s Office investigation. I understand there is a need and want for information. During these types of investigations, information can not be released as quickly as wanted by the public.

There is no active threat to the public. Marion County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a complete and thorough investigation. Information will be shared through their PIO (Public Information Officer) as they are able to do so.

Turner Police Department responded to the scene and provided support for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Turner Fire District. We remain committed to our community and to the safety of our residents.

Here's an update from Cascade School District .

The Turner Police Department is saddened by the news of the incident at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend. Situations like this serve as a sobering reminder of the importance of protecting our schools and ensuring that students, staff, and families feel supported by the communities around them.

Our department believes that building trust and maintaining a visible, positive presence in our schools are important parts of that commitment. We will continue working alongside our local schools, educators, families, and community partners to provide support, strengthen relationships, and help foster an environment where students can focus on learning and feel cared for.

We extend our support to everyone affected in Bend, including the students and staff of Silver Rail Elementary School, their families, and the officers and first responders assisting the community during this difficult time.

The Turner Police Department will continue to stand alongside our schools and neighbors—not only when difficult events occur, but every day. Our commitment is to be present, build meaningful relationships, and work together to keep our schools and community safe.

Remember this guy!?!, who broke into Storm Coffee. All parties are innocent until proven guilty of course.

Mark Wilds, 49, of Lebanon was arrested and lodged today on charges of Burglary in the second degree, and Theft in the third degree.

The Turner Police Department appreciates the tips in identifying Mr. Wilds. We couldn't be successful without a supportive and observant community.

We are extremely grateful to work in this community.

Thankful Thursday Today,

As I was driving in to work for this meeting, I thought I had left my coffee cup on my bumper or something. Everyone was waving. Turns out that is just this community. We are so lucky to have such a supportive, caring, and kind community. We are thankful for the wonderful partnerships with various Law Enforcement Agencies, the Cascade School District, and our beloved Turner Elementary. We get to be biased. I'm sure Chief Flowers thinks the Aumsville Elementary school is the best.

Happy Thursday.

Good morning Turner,

We don't always have time to post. We have been busy working on cases, solving cases - which was why there is no Felony Friday this week. The star of last weeks post was identified, and oddly doesn't want to come talk to us. We are still seeking information on our Misdemeanor Monday vehicle, as to who owns it or drives it. We know the make and model, just not the license plate.

I forgot to post that, we had recess with our friends at Turner Elementary, and story time. We stickered the photo to protect the innocent or those in witness protection.

Happy Sunday.

Misdemeanor Monday (No exclamation points, sorry OSFM)

All parties are innocent until proven guilty.

Is this you? Or do you know this amazingly, ordinary, square vehicle? We are not even sure you can call it a car, a cross over or even a SUV. We wouldn't want to insult a train and call it a box car.

We would love to chat with the driver/vehicle owner. We are working on enhancing the video to get a license plate. If this is you or you know who it is and want to let us know. You can send us a message or give us a call at 503-743-2588.
