Our crews were kept busy on nightshift lastnight, responding to multiple calls for service, including two motor vehicle crashes.

Crews responded to an MVC on the Atlantic City Expressway alongside the Washington Township Fire Department, Washington Township Police Department, New Jersey State Police, and mutual aid partners. BLS 1094 transported the single occupant of the vehicle to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Later in the overnight hours, crews responded to a second MVC alongside the Washington Township Fire Department. It was found that no BLS services were required at that scene.

We were proud to join the Washington Township Fire Department and The Aliver Foundation today for the dedication of a new lifesaving AED at Washington Lake Park in memory of Johnny and Matty Gaudreau.

Our crew had the opportunity to provide hands-on CPR instruction, including showing members of Township Council how to perform lifesaving CPR. Unfortunately, our in-house CPR instructor was unable to attend today due to attending a class, and we sincerely thank the Washington Township Fire Department for stepping up and helping out today!!

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, a day that forever changed our nation.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost and honor the firefighters, EMS professionals, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, military members, and countless others who answered the call in the face of unimaginable tragedy. A quarter-century later, we continue to honor those who never made it home, those who ran toward danger to help others, and those who continue to live with the lasting effects of that day.

Last night, Washington Township Ambulance was recognized by Washington Township Council for 70 years of dedicated service to our community.

Since 1956, generations of our members have answered the call, serving our residents during their moments of greatest need and helping shape Washington Township Ambulance into the organization it is today. Washington Twp. Ambulance went from a volunteer organization to a fully paid staff of approximately 50 employees staffed 24/7 365 staffing 2-4 trucks at any given time.

We sincerely thank Township Council for this recognition, and we extend an even bigger thank you to every resident who have supported us for these last 7 decades.
