Yesterday’s motor vehicle accident was a great example of how quickly responsibilities can change on an emergency scene.

What started as a response to assist with traffic control quickly evolved into establishing a landing zone for a medical helicopter and coordinating with multiple responding agencies.

It’s a reminder that no two calls are ever the same. What may seem like a routine assignment can change in a matter of minutes, requiring flexibility, communication, and teamwork to keep everyone safe and ensure the best possible outcome.

We’re grateful for the strong working relationships we have with our local emergency services and the teamwork that makes these responses possible.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from Turtle Lake School to the Turtle Lake Fire Department!

Our firefighters had a great time teaching the kids about fire safety, showing them around the station, and giving them a closer look at what we do!

Today, members of the Turtle Lake Fire District accepted a generous donation from the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin. We value the partnership with the tribe and strive to work together to keep our communities safe!!

Early this morning, the Turtle Lake Fire District was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire after a Turtle Lake Police Officer on routine patrol noticed smoke in the area.

After investigating, the officer located a box truck with smoke coming from inside and requested the fire department.

Firefighters arrived, opened the box truck, and found a generator inside that was on fire. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and remained on scene to monitor the area and ensure there was no rekindle.

We appreciate the alert patrol and quick actions of the officer who located the fire and helped prevent the situation from becoming more serious.

🚒 Supporting Your Local Fire Department, One Voucher at a Time!

The Turtle Lake Fire District has partnered with St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake to collect unwanted cash-out vouchers from casino patrons. Any vouchers placed in the designated donation boxes are donated directly to the fire department and help support our equipment, training, and operations.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who chooses to donate their unused vouchers, as well as to St. Croix Casinos Turtle Lake for helping make this program possible.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue serving and protecting our community. Thank you for your support!
