Built in 1835

This home is considered to be the finest example of Greek temple architecture in the state of Alabama.This two-story Greek Revival home features an ionic columned portico extending three sides.The interior features a spiral staircase leading to a tiffany style stained glass window.Elaborate friezes,and black itailian marble mantles.The home has 16 columns,and a bevel leaded glass front entrance.Th

“JB” -John Bryant Irvin made his debut on the Grand Ole Opry tonight.❤️He was absolutely amazing and the star of the show! The Opry was honoring Hank Williams, Sr at the Ryman. Just think - he started his music career at the Swaim Home when he was 3 years old singing Elvis songs and putting on “concerts”! So proud!! Always knew you were bound for stardom!⭐️🎶

The Swaim Home’s Amazing Birthday Boy…
“SNOWBALL”-the white dove! He is 25 years old.
He appeared one day in the Japanese Magnolia
by the back drive. Snowball knows what you say and loves to snuggle! I believe he was sent straight from Heaven to help while my Mother was dealing with Cancer. She loved him and so do I. Snowball is such a Blessing!🩷🕊️🩷An angel in disguise!

Dr. Robert Swaim Flowers would have been
90 years young on September 13th, 2024.
A much beloved cousin growing up in the home with his grandparents , Mr&Mrs Samuel G. Swaim
his mother Ruth Swaim Flowers & brother Walter.
“Bob” was a physician, an author, , musician -
a true Renaissance man. Loved & missed by all♥️
