Elect Lee Garrison

ty, was elected Interfraternity Council President and was elected to his first term on the Tuscaloosa City Council. Lee won his second term on the City Council with no opposition in 2001. In August of 2009, Lee was re-elected to his 4th term on the City Council with no opposition. He is currently Vice President of Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, Inc., formerly Duckworth Morris Insurance and has been with the company for over 16 years. Lee currently serves as Chairman of the City Council Finance Committee. During Lee’s terms as Chairman of the Finance Committee, the city bond rating has been upgraded multiple times. The City of Tuscaloosa has one of the highest bond ratings in the State of Alabama. Lee is very civically engaged. He currently serves as a member of the Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports Commission Board of Directors and member of the Black Warrior Council Boy Scouts of America Board of Directors. Lee previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of West Alabama, Board of Directors for the Jemison Van de Graff Mansion, Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of West Alabama (former Chairman), Advisory Board for the Dr. John L. Blackburn Institute at the University of Alabama, Chairman of the Tuscaloosa Riverfront Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee, and Vice-Chairman of the Ol’ Colony Golf Complex Board of Directors. In March 2007, Lee became the proud father of Michael Lee Garrison. Lee is married to the former Misty McGough of Jasper, Alabama and they are expecting a baby girl in the coming weeks. The Garrisons are members of Church of the Highlands where Lee serves on the Dream Team as an Usher. Lee has also been an active leader on the following initiatives and projects:
