📢 Important Update: November SNAP Benefits Suspended

The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) announced that SNAP benefits will be suspended for November 2025 due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

This means no new benefits will be issued starting November 1, 2025, until federal funding is restored. You WILL still be able to use any remaining funds after November 1, 2025.

Recipients can still use any remaining funds already loaded onto their EBT, and DHR will continue processing applications and determining eligibility, but benefits will not be issued until the suspension is lifted.

If you or someone you know relies on SNAP:
