Tuscaloosa County Foster Care Closet

Back at it! We had more Alabama Credit Union workers volunteering at the closet today! They made a HUGE dent in our donations. Thank you!

With the additional space, came the need for additional storage shelves. Capstone Church, we can’t say thank you enough for purchasing brand new shelves for the closet!

And a special shoutout to 2 wonderful volunteers and 3 foster families who spent their Saturday morning on Mother’s Day weekend putting them together!

We couldn’t have asked for a better gift 💗

When Teen Reach Adventure Camp Tuscaloosa through The Word Community Church reached out about helping them with clothing for a girl’s camp fashion show, we were so excited to help! We sent off three bags full of clothing and can’t wait to hear all about the fun those girls have this summer ☀️👗💗

We are in great need of pants hangers! If you have any you’d like to donate, you can bring them to Hope City Church and place them in the black bin around the back of the church!

Forest Lake Baptist graciously offered us more space as we’ve continued to grow.

Today we moved into our additional space thanks to a husband-and-wife team with no personal connection to foster care; just hearts for giving. When asked how they learned about us, their answer was humbling, “We have everything we need, so for Christmas we chose to give our time. I saw a foster closet on TikTok and wondered if Tuscaloosa had one. I started searching and that’s how we found you.”

This is what community looks like, and we’re so thankful to be part of it. ❤️

We partnered with a local nonprofit, When the Bough Breaks, and had Easter dresses and suits for our open “shop” day this month! It was a joy watching the kids try on their new outfits and twirl in their dresses. Thank you for the continued support 💗

Holy Spirit volunteered today and got us ready for our open shop tomorrow! We couldn’t do this without our community’s support! We are so grateful ❤️
