Please help us congratulate Eric Rasmussen on completing his probationary training. Eric comes to our department with many years of firefighter experience, and is currently serving as an Assistant Chief with the Dyess Fire Department. We look forward to him sharing his experience and knowledge with us.

Thank you Eric for helping us "Protect the Tribe"!

Would you like to serve others and become a member of our team? Contact us on the many opportunities we have to give back to our community.

Thank you Taylor Telecom for your continued support. We can't do what we do without businesses like you!

🚒 Supporting Those Who Serve Our Communities!

Congratulations to the Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department on receiving a $3,914.43 Community Grant from the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), in partnership with Taylor Telecom!

This funding will help replace outdated radios with new Bluetooth-capable units that integrate with firefighters’ breathing equipment, improving communication and safety while responding to emergencies.

We’re proud to support our local first responders and help provide the tools they need to keep our communities safe! ❤️🚒

🚨 WE NEED YOU! JOIN THE JIM NED VFD FAMILY! 🚒

Not all heroes wear turnout gear. Some carry cameras, organize events, provide medical care, or simply have a heart for serving their community!

The Jim Ned Volunteer Fire Department is growing, and we’re looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a difference right here in our community.

🔥 FIREFIGHTERS
No experience? No problem! We’ll help you get the training you need. All you need is a willingness to learn, work hard, and serve your neighbors when they need you most.

🚑 MEDICAL PERSONNEL
Are you an ECA, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic? We need trained medical professionals to help us respond to emergencies throughout our response area.

📱 SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER / CONTENT CREATOR
Have a talent for photography, video, graphic design, or social media? Help us tell our story, highlight our firefighters, educate the public, and keep our community connected!

🤝 SUPPORT & AUXILIARY PERSONNEL
Not interested in responding to emergencies? There’s still a place for you! We need volunteers to assist with community events, fundraising, administrative duties, and behind-the-scenes operations that keep our department running.

❤️ WHY VOLUNTEER?

Because when someone calls 911, they deserve to know that someone will answer.

Our department is built on neighbors helping neighbors, and every person who volunteers makes us stronger.

You don’t have to fight fires to make a difference. You just have to be willing to serve.

📩 INTERESTED IN JOINING?

Our area is currently in a flood watch. Be mindful of heavy rain and low water crossings. If there is rushing water, please don’t take chances. Turn around, don’t drown.
