Look at that blank slate! Busy bees prepped the beds for winter crops at Gordon's Garden this morning. Thanks to volunteers, the garden provides produce year round to Sunday Supper guests. Always room for more helpers, too! Please check the church newsletter for details. Many hands make light work. 🙂

So many tomatoes. Our wagon was full of tomatoes. Then there were lots of beans, cucumbers, zucchini lettuce, Swiss chard, kale, peppers and fragrant herbs for cooking. Thanks to harvesters Lilly, Linda, and Susan. This is all possible by the additional work of Denis, our trusty gardener.

If any of our gardeners are looking for some less common tomatoes including heirlooms and more, check out the Fullerton College Horticultural Department's tomato sale. You order and pay online, arrange a pick-up time, and they will deliver to your trunk. The sale is going on now and some varieties are limited.

We had an abundant harvest this morning in the garden and we make this all available to our guests at Sunday Supper who have the ability to cook. Those red cups contain little tomatoes that are so sweet. We even harvested herbs for cooking delicious food. The Harvest Team was very efficient and helpful.

And the bananas are getting ripe. Just a little longer for corners to round and then pick and wait for them to turn a dark yellow. They are really good.

Thanks to Denis, Scott, and Cindy for their hard work. We got many loads of mulch into the orchard. And there are so many bananas. We’d love to see them ripen. And they taste pretty good.

We need help in the garden on Saturday morning. We have mulch and it needs to be spread in the orchard. Weeds are pulled so time is important. I’ll be there at 9:00 and one more person will be there at ten. Come out if you can. Bring gloves, a rake and a hat. Hope to see you there.
