⚓ Defense Health Network Pacific chief nursing officer inspires future leaders during visit to Twentynine Palms

Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Twentynine Palms welcomed Capt. Salee Jane P. Oboza, chief nursing officer for Defense Health Network Pacific, as a guest speaker for a leadership development session on Oct. 15.

During her presentation, "Your Leadership Journey: Walk the Talk & Align Values with Action," Oboza discussed the importance of leading with integrity, aligning personal values with actions and adopting an outward mindset that recognizes the needs, challenges and objectives of others.

Drawing on her extensive Navy Medicine career, including serving as commanding officer of NMRTC Pearl Harbor and director of Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, Oboza shared practical leadership principles emphasizing accountability, communication, trust and the importance of understanding those we lead.

The session encouraged Sailors to reflect on their own leadership approaches, recognize common challenges and identify ways to put effective leadership principles into practice.

Thank you, Capt. Oboza, for sharing your experience, insights and valuable leadership lessons with the next generation of Navy Medicine leaders!
