🥎🔥 THE RIVALRY CONTINUES! 🔥🥎

When the Twin Lakes PD and Twin Lakes FD get together, it’s all fun and games… until someone keeps score. 😏

The annual PD vs. FD Softball Game brought out the competitive spirit, plenty of friendly trash talk, and a whole lot of bragging rights on the line.

After 7 innings of friendly rivalry, Twin Lakes PD came out on top with a 22–6 victory! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️💙

🚔 PD — 22
🚒 FD — 6

We’ll give our friends at the Fire Department credit where it’s due—they showed up ready to battle and made it another great night of friendly competition between two departments that work side-by-side every day.

But for the next 365 days… the bragging rights belong to PD. 😎🏆

Don’t worry, FD… you’ll have another shot at us next year. 😉

Same community. Same team. Different uniforms. One heck of a rivalry. 💙🚔🚒🥎

Also shoutout to the officers and firefighters/Ems that staffed the stations while the rest of us could play!

📊 August 2026 Monthly Activity Snapshot 🚔

August was an exceptionally busy month for the Twin Lakes Police Department. Officers responded to 1,410 calls for service, conducted 647 extra patrols, completed 121 follow-up investigations, and referred 68 criminal charges.

In addition to our daily calls for service, August included several significant and complex investigations, proactive enforcement efforts, and extensive follow-up by members of our department. One major investigation required significant coordination with multiple law enforcement agencies and continues to develop.

Stay tuned—we expect to share more information regarding that investigation soon.

Officers also continued responding to community concerns through proactive neighborhood and business patrols, e-bike education and enforcement, and increased visibility throughout the busy summer season. We also enjoyed participating in the Buoys Car Show and Street Party/Car Show and interacting with our community.

There is a lot of work behind these numbers that isn’t always visible, and we appreciate the continued support of our residents, businesses, and law enforcement partners.

The video shows the pedestrian stepping in front of the moving FedEx truck and then jumping onto the truck, where he grabbed the driver while yelling and using profanities. As the driver attempted to leave the situation, the pedestrian fell from the truck.

🎒📚 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 📚🎒

The halls of Randall Consolidated School are officially full of Wildcats again, and SRO Phelps is ready for another great school year! 👮‍♂️🐾

After a summer of keeping the community safe, Phelps is back where he belongs—hanging out with his favorite people: the students! ❤️

And when asked what he wants to be when he grows up, apparently being a police officer isn’t the final destination… 🤔😂 He’s got his sights set on becoming Principal Phelps 👨‍🏫

His advice for students this year is one worth remembering: “On your first day, don’t stress about being perfect! Everyone is nervous—even if they don’t show it.” ❤️

From all of us at the Twin Lakes Police Department, we wish the students, teachers, staff, and families at Randall Consolidated School a safe, successful, and FUN school year! If you see Officer Phelps today make sure you give him a big high-five!

Welcome back, Wildcats! 🐾❤️🖤
