Widespread rainfall is expected to develop Friday night into early Saturday, with highest amounts on Saturday, though rainfall will likely persist into Sunday. New moon phases will bring elevated astronomical tides this weekend. Heavy rainfall occurring during high tides may lead to rapid coastal flooding, including in Savannah and Charleston.

Kiffin swore into the United States Coast Guard today and is headed to Officer Candidate School with plans to become a Coast Guard helicopter pilot!
