Help us celebrate three years of service for the Longview Resource Center (LRC) powered by Southwestern Electric Power Company - SWEPCO Foundation!
Opening in October of 2023, LRC has provided over 2.3 million meals to neighbors like Nicolas who is retired and trying to make ends meet.
He says shopping at the LRC is a blessing. “Thank you so much to the donors. Please keep this place going. We greatly appreciate the fresh and healthy food. “

All East Texas Food Bank Resource Centers will be CLOSED on Tuesday, October 27th. They will resume normal operations on Wednesday, October 28th.

Join the East Texas Food Bank for a community blood drive on Wednesday, October 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Carter BloodCare bus will be parked in our Volunteer Center and donors will receive a Glow-in-the-Dark tshirt.
Open to the public with walkups welcome. Photo identification required.

The Deep East Texas Resource Center in Lufkin had the privilege of hosting the Children's Defense Fund for a cafe conference in September. It was an opportunity for community partners to come together and discuss the needs of the surrounding communities and what we can better do to serve them.

Thank you Austin Bank for helping provide 15,000 meals to families in East Texas!

Austin Bank's allegiance to the communities it serves continues to manifest itself through contributions in direct support of local education, the arts, literacy, health and housing needs as well as countless hours of volunteer service given by Austin Bank employees.

The East Texas Food Bank is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to "fight hunger and feed hope in East Texas." Since 1988, they have provided food to over 200 partner agencies and food programs throughout 26 East Texas counties.

Wow...thank you Chick-fil-A and their guests for the overwhelming response for the Chicken & Waffles fundraiser held during September's Hunger Action Month.
Guest participation exceeded expectations, allowing local restaurants to reach the full $20,000 fundraising goal.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. matched the $20,000 raised by participating local restaurants, bringing the total contribution to the East Texas Food Bank to $40,000!
