Have life jackets that no longer fit properly?🛟🛟🛟

We'll take em!

Tyler State Park has recently partnered with The Texas Department of State Health Services to provide life jackets for use at our park, at no cost to the user.
We need your help to kick start this program and provide extra safety in and on the water!

On June 27th & 28th we will be hosting a life jacket donation drive at the park headquarters from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Donating one or more coast guard approved life jackets in good/gently used condition will enter you into a raffle for up to two hours of a free boat rental.

*Both hours must be used on the same day. Depending on boat availability, recipient may use one hour for two boats.*

America’s 250th birthday is almost here, and what better way to celebrate than spending the day at your favorite state park!

To make sure your visit to the park runs smoothly reserve your day passes early to guarantee entrance into the park before we sell out.

Throughout the day, we’ll be hosting fun and engaging interpretive programs for all ages. Whether you want to learn something new, relax in nature, or get out on the lake, there’s something for everyone.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you on the 4th!

You never know what to expect when it comes to Texas weather.

Due to the weather blowing in for the weekend it will cause these programs to be cancelled.

- Star Party will be cancelled for the evening BUT it will be rescheduled for next Friday, 6/26/26, at 8:30PM!

Next Friday, 6/26/26, will be a busy night of fun filled events we have our Campfire program with Spooky stories beginning at 6:30PM. A Night Hike starting at 8PM and our rescheduled Star Party being held by ASET beginning at 8:30PM. There is a lot of fun to be had next Friday!

- Father's Day Dutch Oven will also be cancelled due to storms expected during program time.

If you want to take Lucy out on the lake it is $30 for an hour. It can hold over 4 people. Perfect for a family!

Due to the weather we are experiencing we will be cancelling our full moon paddle program this evening. Be on the lookout for our future paddling events as we hope for clear skies!

The park has reached capacity at this time. Only visitors with reservations will be allowed to enter the park.

Those dog days are over! 🐶🐾

Our SPCA season has officially wrapped, and what a run it was. The Barks ’N’ Rec program held 4 events, walked 40+ dogs, and helped most of those sweet pups find their furever homes.

While the program is taking a little nap for now, don’t worry it’ll be back this fall. Keep your ears up and alert for our next Barks ’N’ Rec event if you want to join the fun and help even more pups stretch their legs and find their families.
