Today was a fun-filled Saturday at the trampoline park with the boys! Getting out of the usual routine, being active, laughing, and spending time together can help reduce stress, improve their mood, and support their mental. Happy Saturday to everyone!

🙌This is what healing in the kitchen looks like.

Not all kids placed in foster care are due to parent neglect. These 2 are here because their father passed some years ago from cancer. Since being here all they have talked about is his famous French dip sandwiches. So today we took them to Brookshires to buy the stuff to cook for us.

Hearing the story behind the French dip and reminiscing about their dad brought a smile I had not seen from them in awhile. They both got in the kitchen amd made us their version of "SOUL " FOOD.

IT WAS SO GOOD!!! IT WILL NOW BECOME A REGULAR ON THE MENU.

So when they want change we tell them to handle business!

❗️Mrs.Shronica why can't we have our cell phones on level. I tell them the reason. I say if you want to see the change handle your business and present us with why we should change the policy.

Him: blazer on with full Google Slide deck

We all were impressed, even his peers. He shocked us all with this one. He had the cons and ways to balance out cell phone use.

Outcome: Cell phone approved on level 1 with contract signed and strict rules.

Let's just say majority won the vote!

We are building leaders, advocates and business minded men.

On this rainy day we decided to start our STEM project but we call it "follow the directions" project. 197 pieces should keep them busy for the week.

Today's Story:
LONG STORY SHORT:
Because our boys held the door for a group of elderly people going into a restaurant a man seen their hospitality and wanted to bless them with a $100 donation.

This guy was so amazed at how polite they all were. See one of the many things we teach is "KINDNESS". We let them know just because what the world labels them as doesn't mean they have to act or look like it.

Over here we are shutting down what "they" think we should be because you can still be what you should be.

The Lord definitely has his hands on us. THIS VIEW IS A TESTAMENT TO THE BEAUTY HE CAN CREATE.
