It’s been a pretty busy weekend for the members of the 33 House. Late Friday afternoon there was a hoagie assembly party to get the subs ready to sell for the Farm City Day event that was held Saturday. After the hoagies were finished up & ready to go, a crew took the Rescue to standby at the Tyrone Varsity Football game which was also Homecoming night. While at the game Stations 33,34,36,22, & Huntingdon 22 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the area of the 800 block of Park Ave in the boro. Rescue 33 with Lt33-1 responded from the field along with Engine 34 who was also at the game. Rescue 33 arrived on scene with Lt33-1 establishing command. Crews found a stove that had small fire but was extinguished upon arrival. Command held the box to Rescue 33 & Engine 34 placing all other companies available. After assisting with removing some smoke from the residence the box was placed available & both rigs returned to the game.
Saturday morning 10/3 members took the Rescue & the Squad to Farm City Day to sell our Hookies Hoagies. The crew also had the 2 rigs on display. At 12:36hrs Stations 33 & 34 were dispatched for a 2 vehicle MVC in the area of the 5500 block of East Pleasant Valley Blvd. Rescue 33 & Squad 33 with Deputy 33 responded from the event. Upon arriving on scene there were 2 vehicles on the roadway. Deputy 33 established command with the Rescue crew splitting handling patient care & controlling hazards. Engine Tanker 34 responded & arrived on scene assisting the 33 crew. EMS transported 1 patient & Fire remained on scene until the vehicles were removed from the scene. Command then placed the box available with the 33 units returning to the event.
We want to thank every who stopped by for the hoagie sale & basket raffle. We will be posting a list of the winners soon.
