We are thrilled and fortunate to be featured at the Ukiah Coop for the roundup at the register! It's an incredible opportunity for us to connect with the community and share our mission. Each time a customer rounds up their purchase to the nearest dollar, the extra change goes toward supporting our cause. This initiative not only helps us raise funds but also increases awareness about the important work we do. We are grateful to everyone who chooses to participate, and we look forward to making a positive impact together. Thank you for your support!

February brings our Healing Tools for Stress & Trauma: Free Community Demonstration Day! We're inviting local families, youth, and community partners to explore stress-relief tools. Experience hands-on demos for biofeedback, short practice sessions, and learn how self-regulation can support mental health, especially for trauma-affected youth.

Guests will understand stress's impact on the nervous system, biofeedback benefits, and how to access these resources in Mendocino County. This aligns with Synergy’s mission to support families and enhance well-being. Typically, biofeedback and sound chair therapy are valued at approximately $200 each, but for this workshop, they will be available completely free of charge.

To snag your spot, give us a ring or text at 707-407-6360. You can also drop an email to [email protected] or shoot us a message right here!

Community Spotlight: Community Foundation of Mendocino County 🌟

At SFS, we are fortunate to collaborate with numerous local organizations.
This week, we want to highlight the Community Foundation of Mendocino County. They diligently manage permanent charitable funds established through donations and bequests from individuals, families, businesses, and various organizations. This local entity is supported and led by caring, engaged individuals who share a vision for the thriving future of Mendocino County. Their board, team, and volunteers represent each of the seven distinct regions within the county. They provide leadership, expertise, and funding to develop local resources and opportunities, acting as a valuable resource for nonprofit, civic, government, and philanthropic organizations.

Stay tuned for an upcoming workshop for the community, made possible through the support of the Community Foundation of Mendocino County
Coming soon from synergy will be a workshop for the community, we are able to create this opportunity because of the Community Foundation of Mendocino County.

Navigating resources can be quite difficult for various reasons. Here are some of the most common obstacles people encounter:

- Identifying the right service that caters to your unique individual needs
- Gaining access to services can often present challenges
- Comprehending the requirements and the hurdles you need to overcome
- Overall navigation of available resources
- Dealing with long waiting times and delays
- Overcoming language barriers or lack of translation services
- Coping with limited availability of services in certain geographic areas
- Facing technological barriers, such as lack of internet access or digital literacy
- Encountering complex or unclear application processes
- Experiencing difficulties due to eligibility criteria that are hard to meet
- Managing the emotional stress that comes with seeking assistance

By recognizing these challenges, we can work towards creating more accessible and user-friendly systems that help individuals find the support they need more efficiently. What experiences have you or someone you know faced while trying to connect with the appropriate services?

The National Native Children's Trauma Center said it best:

"When youth and families face serious emotional or behavioral health challenges, solutions must be culturally grounded, community-based, and centered on family strengths. That’s where Wraparound comes in.

Wraparound is more than a service — it’s a philosophy and process that empowers & encourages families to lead their own healing journey."

Synergy is here to guide and honor your journey with comprehensive support 🌱
