Have you noticed the milkweed seedpods exploding in our garden?

"Milkweeds (Asclepias spp.) are herbaceous perennial plants named for their milky sap. These plants occur in a wide range of habitats, including intact natural communities on roadsides and highly disturbed roadsides. As required host plants for monarch (Danaus plexippus) caterpillars, milkweeds play an essential role in the butterfly’s life cycle." We are gearing up (!) for the Bicycle Club's last ride of the school year. We'll meet at noon in front of the UISA L-Bldg on Wednesday 6/3 and ride the entire length of the Great Redwood Trail (ride will last about 90 minutes). We have bikes and helmets to loan, water and snacks will be provided, the ride is open to all students and staff who are comfortable riding a bicycle on the street. We hope you will come ride with us!

We are inspired by UISA's student athletes like Annelise P., pictured here at this week's meet with Cardinal Newman, who make such strong contributions to Ukiah High teams. Strength, commitment and fierce determination. Those are our values.
