Captain James received this prestigious certification last week during the joint Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs (SEAFC) and Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs conference.
This achievement represents a significant milestone not only for Captain James, but also for our department, as he becomes the first officer in our organization's history to earn this certification.
The Company Officer Certification recognizes a commitment to professional development and the advancement of the fire service. Captain James has demonstrated dedication to both his profession and the citizens we serve through his pursuit of higher standards in leadership and emergency services.

FF/AEMT Victor Bowman and Sgt. Michael Awua proudly represented Union City Fire & Emergency Services at the Aerotropolis Hiring Fair event. Throughout the day, they had the opportunity to meet and speak with individuals interested in pursuing a career in the fire service and public safety.

Events like these are a great opportunity for us to get out into the community, connect with future firefighters, and share information about the rewarding opportunities available within the fire service.
