Over the last four days Brindlee Mtn. members, as well as members of Arab Fire Dept , attended a Heavy Vehicle Lift and Stabilization class in Concord North Carolina.
Members were able to learn new tactics with all different types of equipment under the expertise of some of the best heavy extrication technicians in the North East.

“We must keep extending our knowledge to keep up with the fast progression of today’s heavy vehicles that travel through our coverage area everyday. The goal of attending this class is to make sure that anyone’s family member that operates a heavy vehicle in or around our area can be extricated in the fastest yet safest way possible, no matter how bad the situation may be.” Asst. Chief M. Mclemore

Attendees plan to bring this knowledge back home to educate other department members as well as other departments throughout the county.

Special thanks to:
Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC
Beaver Lane Fire & Rescue
Paratech Fire & Rescue Equipment
Special thanks to Allen Volunteer Fire Department for the hospitality!

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but we have not forgotten.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost that day. We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel and other first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape. We remember the families who lost loved ones, the survivors whose lives were forever changed, and those who answered the call in the days, months and years that followed.

For those of us in the fire service, September 11th carries a special weight. We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their courage, selflessness and commitment to serving others continue to inspire generations of firefighters.

May we never forget the lives lost.
May we never forget the heroes.
May we never forget the unity our country showed in the days that followed.

25 years later, we still remember.

September 11, 2001
Never Forgotten.

Over the last few days BMVFD members,as well as support member Spencer Chadwick BMFA, spent several hours training on the Alabama Fire College Taylor’d Prop. This trailer offers vertical vent roof operations, forcible entry(both residential & commercial), VEIS search procedures, and other scenario based practices.
As of July 2026 BMVFD has offered over 75 hours of hosted fire department training!
This doesn’t include any fire ground or EMS training hours that individual firemen have obtained on their own personal time to better the community.

Investing in the skillset of the men and women that respond to your residence and business’s will always be a top priority.

“Yes, let’s maintain things properly, and make sure we have the tools we need, but I’m all about spending whatever and sending these guys wherever to get the training that we need to keep up with our growing community.”
-Cpt. Jordan Brooks.
