🧪🎃 STEAM Meets Biomed! 🎃🧪

Our 3rd and 4th grade Elementary STEAM students, led by Mrs. Morrison, teamed up with Mrs. Cuff’s High School Biomedical Science classes for an exciting hands-on learning experience!

Our younger scientists got to learn all about micropipetting and how scientists use pipettes in the lab. Then, they put their new skills to the test by using pipettes to create their very own Halloween-inspired paintings! 🧡🖤

It was a fantastic opportunity for our elementary students to explore real-world science, learn from high school students, and discover that science and creativity go hand in hand!

A big thank-you to Mrs. Cuff and her Biomed students for sharing their knowledge and making learning so much fun!

Science is better when we learn together! 🚀🔬

♻️🌎 Turning Recycling into STEAM-tastic Creations! 🌎♻️
Our Kindergarten and First Grade students got hands-on in the STEAM classroom as they learned about the importance of recycling and reusing materials! 💚
After discovering how recycling helps protect our planet, students rolled up their sleeves and tried something amazing — making their own paper! 📝✨ They explored how everyday materials can be transformed into something new while practicing creativity, problem-solving, and scientific thinking.
We love seeing our young learners discover that even small actions can make a BIG difference for our planet! 🌱🌍
Way to go, little STEAM scientists! 💚♻️

Just a reminder that we will have Late Start Wednesday tomorrow. South Central Elementary begins at 8:35 (first bell at 8:25). Students may still eat breakfast at school on Late Start Wednesdays.
