5 years of loving our most recent librarian! ❤️

5 years and we’re still together!
I was hired back in 2021 and it has been a fun 5 years as your librarian. We’ve got so many more interesting ideas in store. Happy anniversary to us, Union.

It's here! From now until October 30, 10 AM you are invited to turn in pumpkins in lieu of late fees!
Here's how it works:
Turn in any missing items.
Bring us a pumpkin and we will erase your late fees.
We use the pumpkin for our annual pumpkin painting event, October 30 10-12.

✨️Shelfie Sunday✨️

With school starting, my shelf looks alot more like a hold list. I cant be the only one who feels like they don't have time to pick up a physical book during the first few weeks back to school.

While we highlight physical books all the time, your library card gives you access to the libby app. While I might be waiting on these titles specifically, libby has THOUSANDS of audio books, magazines and digital copies of books available.

If you need help getting started on libby, like I did, stop into Union, OR Carnegie Library and they will very helpfully instruct you on how to login!

✨️Shelfie Sunday✨️

Only we're using this sunday to remind our friends, even after the big book sale, we have a sale shelf. As we're sorting through books, we try to place new books at least once a month!

When you stop by the book sale, what authors are you frequently looking for?!?

We know the parties responsible for this damage, there has been communication and we know there are feelings of remorse.

10 days ago we made a post talking about our story trail and how it had been impacted by minor vandalism, again accidents happen. However, we know this was not an accident. Now, it looks like the story trail will be no more.

The friends act as a board and have to have the votes to approve funding for all of our projects, people were already hesitant to fund the trail for this very reason.

While we do have the funds to redo this whole thing, it's hard not to feel like we'd be throwing time and money away on something that, clearly, has the potential to be ruined very quickly.
