2026 - 2027 Student Handbook
NO TOY POLICY
As stated on page 32; Section: Valuables of the Laurel Highlands School District Student Handbook:

“No toys or items from home are permitted into the building unless for a project that has been cleared by the teacher.”

This does NOT apply to the following:
Students with an Individualized Education Program (also known as an IEP)
that states that they are allowed to possess a fidget item during learning hours.
Students with a 504 plan that states they are allowed to possess a fidget item during learning hours.

Teachers provide toys in the classrooms for recess when we are indoors.

Any items brought to school that aren’t allowed under this policy will be collected and sent to the office where the student may retrieve them at the end of the day OR it’s possible a parent might be required to pick it up at the school.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the office.
You can find the handbook online following this URL: https://www.lhsd.org/clark-school
Then click on LH Elementary School Handbook on the main page.
Thank you for your attention on this matter.
