Issue 24 replaces the levy that expires at the end of this year. The ballot language is definitely confusing, but it is written how it is legally required to be written now. The word “replacement” is no longer allowed to be used, even though that’s exactly what it is.

The current 3.0 mill levy is expiring at the end of this year and is being “replaced” by a new 2.75 mill levy, but it is now legally required to be called “additional.”

The current levy generates $105 per $100,000 and the replacement generates $96 per $100,000.

We have been trying to spread the word, but if there is any way you can help us get the word out by talking to your neighbors and friends, we would greatly appreciate it.

UPDATE: Owner has been found and she has been picked up!!

This dog was just dropped off to us, it was wandering in the area. If this is yours or you know who it belongs to, let us know. We will keep her for a short period of time before we reach out to the dog warden.
