October 27th – Writing Across the Curriculum In the Age of AI
6:00- 7:30 PM

Collaborating with the National Writing Project in New York’s Paull Allison, with current students and integrating school libraries, you will learn initiatives to master, integrate, and access various skills that have AI work for your needs. From tools, platforms, and ways to grow your creativity in a secure way with AI, you will have a toolbox of resources in addressing AI across curriculums.

School Libraries- they are not what you think- they are WHERE you think and change the destiny of so many youth!

From the students:

“We thought we were going to simply learn about a subject tied to Chinese based on the title. We did not realize Bo Wang’s research took us through primary and secondary research, reached and touched themes that impact MANY different cultures, AND despite AI- showed how research and AI assist in the authentic personality that can come out of research. We were interested in so much – from the exploits of P.T. Barnum in exploiting the aspects of Chinese culture, to how Americans reacted to Chinese culture (alot of materialistic traits there), as well as just learning how what we don’t know, can impact what we should know going forward. Ms. Wang talked about the written word, language, culture, identity, tropes, misrepresentation, immigration, and so much more that simply using AI could never personalize to so many of us from so many different backgrounds.”

We believe just like conferences, the REAL meat of what really matters is what you do with the attendance AFTER the fact- be it a conference, summit or event, and we specialize in maximizing events…

Students from Youth for School Libraries have been asking if anyone would be willing to contribute to their first experience of 9.11 when this event occurred. feel free to send a short email or audio my way and we will put them together - please send audio or email my way with anything you are willing to share.

Please take time to check out one of the QR codes that are on the virtual display in the lobby- these are actual interviews we did years ago with staff about 9.11 that bring this event to a sense of reality that did not know about this event.

Also, if you get a chance, this was created at the Seaford Chapel Branch Nature Trail- commemorating 11 individuals from/ connected to Delaware that were lost on 9.11

Whether you realized it or not, the life of Dolly Parton is one we should all realize. Accept hard times and learn from them. Be gracious to others, and find ways EVERY DAY to put others before yourself to benefit them.

From the imagination Library, to to her own Dolly Foundation, to donating to the Vanderbilt University medical Center to stared the Covid vaccine that occurred (She started that!), to the Dolly Parton Center for Women's Studies, she lived a life that took her highlights and made them possible for other' futures. THAT is a leader, and we need more like that to show selflessness has its benefits to the individual and to others. Her passing is a loss to so many, but can be a gain to thousands more if they pick up these lessons.
