Join us Wednesday, October 28th, as we celebrate 100 years of our courthouse and the history, people, and community that have made our county so special!

And here’s an incredible piece of history! 🤯

100 years ago, the dedication of our courthouse drew an estimated 8,000 people early in the day! By noon, attendance had reached an astonishing 12,500 people, and by 8:00 p.m. that evening, nearly 18,000 people had gathered for the street dance!

WOW! Can you imagine that many people coming together to celebrate? What an incredible testament to the excitement and community spirit surrounding the courthouse 100 years ago!

❤️💙 Come be part of history as we celebrate this amazing milestone! We hope to see you there!

🎉 100 YEARS OF HISTORY — AND WHAT A CELEBRATION IT WAS! 🎉
On October 28, 1926, our courthouse opened its doors, and the community turned out in a big way to celebrate! As we prepare to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our historic courthouse, we're taking a look back at the newspaper coverage of that special day a century ago.
One of the best parts of looking back is discovering the little details that bring history to life — including the woman who won the hog-calling title! 🐖🏆 You just never know what you'll find in a 100-year-old newspaper!
But beyond the fun and fascinating details, what really stands out is the thousands of people who came together to celebrate this milestone. A century ago, just as today, our courthouse was more than a building. It was a gathering place for our community and a part of our shared story.
As we celebrate 100 years, we're reminded of all the history, memories, and community pride held within these walls.
📜 Take a step back in time and enjoy this look at October 28, 1926!
What a wonderful reminder that while times change, community spirit lives on. ❤️🏛️
🎊 Please join us in celebrating this historic milestone on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, and be a part of history! We look forward to celebrating 100 years of courthouse history with you!
