As Memorial Day approaches, we want to take a moment to talk about the Newfield Township Veteran's Memorial Garden at Hightower Lake park.

A hallowed ground for honoring the service of our Newfield Township veterans of all eras, the Garden has a memorial board that shows the names, branches, and dates of service of our local veterans.

If you wish to honor your Newfield Township Veteran, contact the Supervisor at [email protected]

GOOD NEWS!

The water has receded to the point that Newfield Township Officials have decided to reopen Oxbow Park effective immediately!

There is still water over the road coming into the park, and the ground is soft in places. Mercifully there does not appear to be any damage to the buildings or walkways in the park.

The water levels at the launches are still up so please exercise caution when going near.

Thank you for your patience as we navigated this historic flooding as a community.
