This program reviews the pharmaceutical services condition of participation and other regulatory areas that require pharmacist input and participation such as antibiotic stewardships, medication administration timing policies, medication self-administration, standing orders and other pharmacy related issues. This program is intended for critical access hospitals. Medication errors account for the largest number of medical errors in health care. They are also the most- common reason for unnecessary patient readmissions. Medication errors, adverse events, drug incompatibilities, self‐administered medication and required medication policies will also be discussed.

Being a Charge Nurse requires more than clinical expertise. This six-hour course focuses on the leadership and interpersonal skills nurses need to effectively lead and support their teams.

Participants will explore leadership styles, communication, conflict management, and collaboration, with practical strategies they can apply in a variety of nursing care settings.

Who should attend:
RNs and LPNs who are new to a Charge Nurse or front-line leadership role, as well as experienced Charge Nurses interested in strengthening and reinvigorating their practice.

Yesterday, we were pleased to honor and celebrate Linda Walther, who served as MNCASA's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) / Forensic Medical Examiner (FME) Consultant for more than 12 years, as she retires by dedicating our training space as The Linda Walther Training Center. What makes this even sweeter is the very first training we'll host next week is a SANE training. Thank you, Linda, for all you have done to serve and improve care for all victims/survivors and support the movement. We have been so lucky to work with you.
