🍂 Our annual Fall Festival was SO much fun last night! We loved seeing our students and their families come together for an evening full of fall fun, smiles, and new memories! 🍁

From trunk-or-treating and dancing, to cotton candy and popcorn, face painting and puppet shows, lawn games, community booths, and free grocery shopping at the Nourish NC Mobile Market, there was something for everyone to enjoy! 👻

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing community partners and volunteers who came out to support our Johnson Family last night: The UNCW Nursing Program, REV Credit Union, Life Point Church, The Latino Alliance, Laney High School, Texas Roadhouse, the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department, and Nourish NC! 🧡

We are SO incredibly thankful for each of you and your willingness to give your time, share your resources, and pour into our families. It takes a village, and we are so grateful to have such wonderful community partners standing alongside us! 🫶✨

🎃🍂 Our First Field Trip of the Year! 🍂🎃

Our little Eagles had the BEST time on their first field trip of the year to the pumpkin patch at Wesley Memorial Church! 🧡 From exploring the pumpkin patch to making sweet memories with friends, everyone had an absolute blast! 🎃🍁

A huge thank-you to Wesley Memorial Church for welcoming us and helping make this such a fun and special experience for our little learners! 💛

What will you see on the ballot?

On November 3, 2026, voters will consider a proposed $320.5 million bond referendum for New Hanover County Schools.

One of the main areas of the proposed bond for New Hanover County Schools is enhanced safety across the district.
The proposed safety and security improvements focus on strengthening building access and campus perimeter safety.

The plan includes secure vestibules for safer school entrances, security bollards to provide added protection around school buildings, and window security coverings for classrooms and offices. These coverings can be quickly lowered to limit visibility into a room and provide an added layer of safety during an emergency.

El 3 de noviembre de 2026, los votantes considerarán una propuesta de referéndum sobre bonos por valor de 320.5 millones de dólares para las Escuelas del Condado de New Hanover.

Hey Johnson Families! Check out our weekly attendance for October 12th-16th! Monday-83%, Tuesday-87%, Wednesday -93%, Thursday-88%, and Friday-86%. Our weekly average was a bit lower this week at 87% with our highest attended day being Wednesday at 93%.

Let’s try this week to get that weekly average back over the 90%! Thank you families for all you do to get your children to school on time daily so that they can continue to learn, grow, shine and soar! Let’s go Eagles!!!🦅

Heads up! Early voting begins Thursday, October 15th.

Voters will consider a proposed $320.5 million bond referendum for New Hanover County Schools.

If approved, the bond would fund projects that address our greatest facility needs across the district, technology & systems upgrades, and enhanced safety.
