Adelaide bit her bottom lip as Lucifer put his face down a little. Their faces were no longer far from each other. Adelaide's heart started beating fast as Lucifer's face touched hers. His nose touched hers. Adelaide close her eyes as his breathe touch her, she flipped and push him and run away.

She run to her room and open the door and lock the door, she was breathing fast, her heartbeat was so fast. she place her hand on her chest.
"Why I'm feeling this way, what was that? was he trying to kiss me, why did I even allow him touch me" Adelaide speak to herself
"Just relax maybe he's on drugs or maybe he's not in his right sense, but he's handsome cute lips I could have let him, but what if he tested me, f**k Adelaide relax"she muttered and jump on her bed and immediately close her eyes.

Lucifer was sitting down on his couch smoke softly while smiling immediately Cheng walk in.
"Big bro, I just get a feeling that the dark woman just escape" Cheng said
"How?"Lucifer asked surprised
"she break the chain I use on her, I believe someone must have help her out" Cheng muttered
"Go get laide"Lucifer groan and teleport.
"That was fast" Cheng muttered

**CHAPTER 32: BLOOD ON WHITE**

Lucifer materialized beneath the cursed tree. Empty.
His jaw tightened. No scent. No trace.
“Dammit,” he hissed, vanishing in a ripple of black smoke.

He wasn’t going to rest until he found her.
But first — Adelaide.

He was halfway down the corridor when Winter slid in front of him, blocking his path with that infuriating calm.

“Boss.”

“Move,” Lucifer growled, his eyes burning red. “This is not the time.”

“The heir’s dogs are inside the walls,” Winter said fast, voice low. “They hit Renata’s unit. They’re killing our men. I barely made it out to tell you.”

Lucifer stopped. Rage and fear warred in his chest.
“Cheng?”

“Gone. Left the castle minutes ago.”

Lucifer’s hands clenched into fists. If anything happened to his Adelaide.

She knocked on Adelaide’s door with a sweet smile.

Adelaide opened it, hair messy, eyes tired.
“What?”

“The boss sent me,” Winter lied smoothly. “He needs you with Lady Selene. Immediately. Use the main gate route.”

Adelaide’s stomach twisted. Why Winter? Why now?
The door clicked shut behind her.
“I’m not going,” she whispered. “I’ll be punished but I don’t care.”

Exhaustion pulled at her. She groaned, picked a simple white gown from her closet — her armor, her peace — and stepped out.
Maybe if she hurried by the main gate, she’d be back before anyone noticed.

The air smelled like iron the second she turned the corner.

Chaos. Screams. Blood on stone.
Heir’s men. Claws. Teeth.
Adelaide’s heart slammed in her chest. She turned to run —

Too late.

A hand shot out. Fingers like knives. Eyes like voids.
He grabbed her throat and sank his fangs into her neck.

Pain exploded. White hot.
“AAAH—!”

*Episode 30*

Adelaide went out and went to her room.
"Get out!" Lucifer yelled, and Winter ran out of the room.

"Looks like my plan worked. I will not let her take him away from me. Never," she smiled.
"Bitch, what have you done?" Pistol asked.
"It's none of your business. Stay out of my way," Winter snapped and walked away.

"Mind your business," she snapped and walked away.

Adelaide got to her room and sat on the bed.
_"Is she his girlfriend?"_ she asked herself.
_"Why am I even bothering about it? It's none of my business,"_ she said as she lay on the bed.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door.
"Who the hell is that?" she snapped.
"It's me. Boss wants to see you in his room now," the guard said and left.
_"Why does that womanizer want to see me?"_ she said and followed, going out of her room.

She met Lucifer walking around the room.
"Why did you send for me?" she asked.
"Are you angry with me?" Lucifer asked.
"You sent for me. Can you tell me why you sent for me?" she half-yelled.
"Are you trying to yell at me?" Lucifer asked as he began to walk towards her. She was filled with fear.

_"You look so cute when you're angry. You have not even changed till now,"_ Lucifer said as he got to her and touched her cheek. He smiled, but Adelaide was shivering and confused by what he was saying.
He made her look at him, and she looked deep into his eyes.
"Why are you afraid? I'm not going to harm you," Lucifer said.

"I should work with you? Impossible. I can't work with you. I know what you are capable of doing. Sorry, I can't work under your evil deal," Pistol said and walked away as Winter smirked.
"She is so smart," Winter scoffed and went her own way.

Adelaide saw Tatiana in a corner, smiling to herself.
"This one, you are smiling. What's up?" Adelaide asked.
"Me and Cheng are dating," Tatiana said.
"Dating? How?" Adelaide asked as Tatiana explained to her.
"I'm happy for you," Adelaide said, and they continued chatting.

Lucifer was in his room, pressing on his laptop, when he saw his childhood picture. There were two boys and two girls in the picture. He admired the picture and smiled.
_"Still looking cute,"_ he muttered.

Someone opened his door and walked in.
"Boss," Winter called. He turned to look at her. She was wearing a crop top that exposed her b***s and butt shorts.
"What are you doing here half naked?" Lucifer half-yelled.
"Come on, boss. I'm here for you. You know what we always do. I'm here to satisfy you with my body," she said as she touched his chest.
Lucifer grabbed her hand.
"I'm not interested," Lucifer snapped as he threw her hand off.
"Why? You and I know you love doing it with me," she touched him again.

*Episode 28"

"I... I love you, Cheng, and I will be your girlfriend," Tatiana said in a shaking voice.
"You accept me? I love you more," Cheng said as he hugged her tightly. He pulled back and went for her lips. He kissed her, and the kiss went so deep.
Someone was behind watching them, and tears rolled down that person's eyes. It was no other person but Pistol.

_"He is taken away. Why? But I love him first,"_ Pistol muttered to herself, and she ran away.

After the long kiss, they both started looking into each other's eyes. It took a little time before Cheng spoke up.
"I have to go. I have something to do. I promise to see you later," Cheng said as he pecked her lips before leaving. Tatiana sighed as she watched him until he left her sight, then she turned and walked to her room.

Pistol was in a corner crying when Adelaide walked up to her.
"Pist, why are you crying?" Adelaide asked.
"He has already been taken by a stranger," Pistol said as she cried.
"He? Who is he?" Adelaide asked again.
"Cheng. I have been in love with Cheng since I started working here. He taught me how to fight. When I'm moody, he always brightens my mood. But he's no more mine. He is in love with someone else, not me. And I have been crushing on him for years," Pistol explained as more tears rolled from her eyes.

"Pist, that was a crush, not love. You never admitted your feelings to him. So just accept the fact that he is taken, and you have to get rid of your feelings for him," Adelaide said.
"I know, but it will be hard for me," Pistol said.
"Yes, it will be hard, but you have to try your best. And stop crying. You are too precious to cry for a man," Adelaide said.
"This is years I'm talking about, Lai," Pistol said.
"Yes, it's been years. But you will find someone who loves you, okay?" Adelaide said as she wiped the tears from her cheek.
"Thank you, Lia," Pistol sobbed.
"It's okay," Adelaide said and walked away.

Someone clapped from behind.
"So you have been in love with boss for years?" Winter asked.
"That is none of your business," Pistol yelled.
"Umm, well... you know you can fight to get your love back. Or what do you think? Work with me on this.

*Episode 27*

Tatiana was confused and scared at the same time.
"Why does he need me?" she asked herself.
"Don't keep him waiting," the guard snapped.
She shook in fear and followed the guard immediately. When she got there, she saw Lucifer and Cheng sitting together, and she sighed in relief.

"I don't have to talk too much. You are no longer working as a slave," Lucifer said and walked into his room.
"Enjoy your day," Cheng whispered to her.
"You did all this, right?" Tatiana asked as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Yes. Go pack your things. The maid behind you will show you your room," he said and walked away.

Tatiana ran to pack her things. On her way, she ran into Adelaide and jumped on her happily.
"Hey, easy babe. What if you hurt me?" Adelaide snapped.
"I'm sorry, but I have good news. I'm no longer a slave!" she jumped happily.
"Really?" Adelaide smiled as she hugged her tightly.
"I need to pack my things. Follow me," she said, and they both walked together.
Back at the room, they met Moonlight picking something up.
"Hey, girl," Tatiana called as she turned.
"I'm no longer a slave," Tatiana said.
"Hmm, did I just hear you clearly?" Moonlight asked.
"Yes," Tatiana smiled.
"It can never be," she yelled as Adelaide and Tatiana looked at her.
"I was the first to be here, and I'm the one who is supposed to get freedom," Moonlight yelled.
"I don't think this is about being first. This is grace, Moonlight," Adelaide explained.
"This can never happen," she said, and tears rolled down her cheeks as she stormed out of the room.
"Forget about her. She will come around," Tatiana said as she started packing her things, with Adelaide helping her with some.

They were done, and they had shown Tatiana her room.

Tatiana was looking for Cheng. She saw him walking like someone who was rushing to a place.
"Cheng," she called.
"Tatiana, we can talk some other time. I'm going some other time. I'm going somewhere," Cheng said.
"I promise I won't take your time. I need to tell you something," Tatiana said.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I... I love you, and I will be your girlfriend

"Please, I'm sorry," Adelaide pleaded as Winter gave her another slap.
"What do you think you are doing, Winter?" Lucifer asked from behind as he approached them.
"Boss," Winter said.
"Why did you slap her? Who gave you the permission to slap her?" Lucifer snapped as Winter shook in fear.
"I found her lying on your bed. No one is allowed to be in this room when you are not around," Winter explained.
"Get out!" Lucifer yelled, and she immediately ran out.

"Are you alright? Did she hurt you that much?" he asked as he checked her cheek.
"Hmm, yes. I'm fine," Adelaide said and walked out of the room. She bumped into Winter.
"Come here! What do you have with boss?" Winter yelled.
"We don't have anything. Please, let me go," Adelaide said as she tried to walk away, but Winter dragged her back.
"I want to warn you. Stay away from boss. He is mine, and he will always be mine," Winter said.
"Are you his girlfriend? Because the way he talked to you back there doesn't look like you are his girlfriend," Adelaide said, and Winter was boiling with anger.
"See, I don't know who you are, and I don't care to know. You better stay away from him, or else you won't like me," she yelled and walked away.

_"Why does my heart always beat fast when he's around me?"_ Adelaide muttered as she touched her heart.
Someone touched her from the back, and she jumped.
"What are you thinking?" Pistol asked.
"Hmm, nothing," she smiled.
"I heard you are no longer a slave. I'm happy for you," Pistol said and touched her cheek. She saw that her cheek was red.
"Who did this?" she asked as she touched the spot on her cheek. It was the result of the slap.
"Nothing. I just used my face to hit the wall," Adelaide lied.
"You should be careful next time," Pistol said as they both began to walk side by side.

Tatiana was working with the other slaves when one of the guards walked up to her.

"Thank you," Narmada smiled as the physician started teaching her the steps to take.

Lucifer and Cheng got to the place and both got down from the horse.
"Here is the place," Cheng pointed. They both walked in and saw a woman making an incantation. She felt someone present, turned, and saw them.
"Young men, how can I help you?" she asked.
"Have you been able to help yourself?" Lucifer smirked.
"What did Adelaide do to you that you want her life?" Lucifer asked.

The woman's eyes widened. She swallowed hard, thinking about how he got to know.
"Are you going to answer my damn question?" Lucifer yelled.
"Who are you to ask me such a question?" the woman yelled back.
"I'm Lucifer, a great demon. Now answer my question. Why did you want her life?" he snapped.
"I don't have an answer to that question," the woman said.

Lucifer dragged her and held her collar. He used his power to press her neck.
"You will answer my question!" Lucifer yelled like thunder.
"I don't want her to get her power! I want that position for my daughter!" the woman cried in pain.
"Which power?" Lucifer growled.
"She is a goddess," the woman said.
"That is why you want her life? You don't have any better reason?" Lucifer snapped. He caged her with his power.
"Let me see how you will show yourself in her dream again," he yelled and walked out.

"People like you are nothing but enemies of progress," Cheng smirked. He made a spiritual chain and chained her with it. He smirked and walked out as the woman struggled to use her own power, but it wouldn't work.
"I will deal with you, bastard!" she screamed.

Winter walked into Lucifer's room smiling, only to see Adelaide who had just woken up.
"Hey, what are you doing here? And why are you lying on boss's bed?" Winter snapped as Adelaide shook in fear.
"I... I came... he..." Adelaide was short of words.
"So you have the guts to sleep on boss's bed?" Winter said and slapped Adelaide three times until she fell.
"I'm sorry," Adelaide said as Winter held her.

"I love you. Please give me a chance," Cheng said as Tatiana looked at him.
"I have to think about it. I—" She ran away, leaving Cheng there as he watched her run away.

"Cheng," Lucifer called.
"Brother," Cheng replied.
"Are you seriously in love with that girl?" Lucifer asked as Cheng swallowed.
"I think so," Cheng replied.
"She is not your mate. She is a human, Cheng. You can't mate with her. Go look for your mate. She may be out there," Lucifer said.
"But brother, this feeling I have for her is really taking over me," Cheng scoffed.
"Well, I want us to talk," Lucifer said as he began to walk to Cheng's room. Cheng sighed and followed him.

"Do you remember the place that you used to release Adelaide's spirit?" Lucifer asked.
"I don't think so," Cheng replied.
"Are you that dumb?" Lucifer snapped.
"Hey, easy bro. I think I can find it with my power as a wizard," Cheng replied. He stretched out his hands, and his eyes turned dark. Dark things began to come out of his hands as he made some incantations.
"I've found it," Cheng told Lucifer.
"We are going there right now," Lucifer said.
"Why?" Cheng asked.
"This witch is frustrating Delai, which I don't like. I need to know what she wants from her and why she wanted to kill her," Lucifer said.
"So we are going now?" Cheng smirked.
"Yes," Lucifer replied.
"I will come with you on one condition," Cheng said.
"Which is?" Lucifer asked.
"I don't want Tatiana to continue being a slave," Cheng said.
"We will talk about that when we return. For now, we need to go to that witch," Lucifer yelled as he walked out, with Cheng following him. They both got on the horse and began to ride into the forest.

Narmada went to the physician's house and greeted her.
"Narmada, why are you here?" she asked.
"I came so that you will teach me how to use my power," Narmada said.
"Your power?" the physician asked.
"Yes. I need to know how to use it. I can't have a power without knowing how to use it. I need to use this gifted power. Please teach me how to use it," Narmada pleaded.

Adelaide's eyes widened.
"I need you by my side tonight," Lucifer said.
Adelaide got up, still wondering how he got into her room. They got to his room. She lay on his bed and slept off.

He washed her and smiled.
_"For the past years, you still look beautiful, just like your mom,"_ Lucifer said.

Adelaide woke up and found him lying by her side with his eyes open.
"Did you see her again?" Lucifer asked.
"No. I slept peacefully," Adelaide said.
"I want to ask you a question. Who sold you? Where is your mom?" Lucifer asked.
"My mom is dead," Adelaide said.

*FLASHBACK*
"You are not going anywhere with my daughter. Never! Either I go with her or forget about it," the woman yelled.
"Seriously? This girl is my daughter. I'm not leaving her with you," the man yelled back.
"I'm never letting you take her unless I come with you," the woman scoffed.
"Okay, let's go," the man said as they began to walk away.
They got to a spot where no one was around, and the man brought out a knife and stabbed the woman in the heart.
"Marcus!" the stabbed woman screamed as she spat out blood.
"Die, Ariel. Die. Me and you have nothing together. This girl will go with me," Marcus yelled.
"Mom!" the little girl cried.
"Baby, I love you. Be a good girl. Since the wicked man here is your father, I—" the woman died.
"Mummy, no!" the girl cried, and the man dragged her away with him.
*FLASH END*

"My father killed my mom and he maltreated me and sold me," Adelaide sobbed.
"I'm sorry," Lucifer consoled her as he hugged her. She cried on his shoulder.

Later, she slept off, and Lucifer lay on the bed. Then he walked out.

Tatiana," Cheng called.
"Hey, Cheng," Tatiana said as Cheng hugged her.
"I miss you," he said. He disengaged the hug and kissed her, and Tatiana pushed him.
"What was that?" Tatiana asked.
"Tatiana, can't you see that I'm in love with you? I love you, Tatiana," Cheng confessed.
Tatiana was muted. She didn't know what to say, neither did she know what to do.

"Are you serious? This girl is Delai?" Cheng asked, looking surprised.
"Yes," Lucifer smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Wow. A common slave is your mate and your childhood betrothed," Cheng teased.
"She was not made to become a slave," Lucifer snapped.
"Now you are angry I called her a slave, but you have been calling her that," Cheng said as Lucifer frowned.
"What about the war? I'm fighting it alone, right?" Cheng mocked him.
"No. Can you stop mocking me?" Lucifer yelled.
"You didn't even thank me for saving her," Cheng scolded.
"Thank you. But don't let her know she is my mate and her childhood betrothed. I don't want her to know yet. Now that I have found her, I will not let her out of my sight. I will do anything to protect her," Lucifer whispered to Cheng.
"Yeah, but remember she said the woman in her dream said she has a power. Have you found out about it?" Cheng asked.
"Even her mom said it," Lucifer said.
"Is her mom alive?" Cheng asked.
Adelaide woke up breathing fast.
"Calm down. Just take a deep breath," Lucifer said, and she did so.
"Don't worry. You will be fine, okay?" Lucifer said, and she nodded.
"I need to see you, Cheng," Lucifer said, standing up from the bed. Cheng followed him and winked at Adelaide.

"I want you to prepare a room for her here in the castle. She is no longer a slave. Let everything be put in order. Make the room look like a queen's own, and make sure there are enough clothes in it," Lucifer said. Cheng nodded and walked away. Lucifer walked back in.

Adelaide was taken to her new room, and she looked around. The room was really beautiful.
"Here is your new room. You will be staying here. You are no longer a slave," Cheng smiled.
"Really?" Adelaide screamed as she jumped on Cheng and hugged him.
"Thank you," Adelaide said.
"All thanks go to my brother. He was the one who said you should stop being a slave,"Cheng said.
Adelaide smiled and jumped on the bed, sleeping and rolling on it.
"Enjoy your day," Cheng said and walked out.
