One of the reasons why Federal Term Limits should be in place. Power is intoxicating, but some people need to know when it’s time to go. Haley, a Republican, said that all politicians with advanced age should be tested.

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley suggested in an interview on Thursday that leaders in the government who are of an advanced age should undergo a "cognitive test."

Proposed Constitutional Amendment for Term Limits

Amendment XXVIII:

Section 1:
Withstanding individuals elected to congressional office on or prior the ratification date of this amendment by ¾ of the states; and, with the exception of an individual elected to an office in which the length of the term ends afterward, no individual elected to either, or both, the U.S. House of Representatives and or the U.S. Senate shall serve more than twenty-four accumulated term calendar years in Congress.

Section2:
Withstanding individuals currently serving on, and or appointed or confirmed to, the Supreme Court prior to the ratification date of this amendment by ¾ of the states, an individual appointed and or confirmed to the United States Supreme Court shall serve no more than twenty-four session calendar years.
