I was very honored to be asked to share my story alongside my fellow Vietnam veterans during the “I Was There – Unknown Stories of Vietnam” exhibit at the Kenan Taylor Theater in Lockport.

The Vietnam Veterans Roundtable brought together six local Vietnam veterans to share our firsthand experiences of service, sacrifice, and what it was like coming home.

The sacrifices made by those who served — and by our families waiting for us back home — should never be forgotten. I am proud to have served my country and grateful for the opportunity to help preserve these stories for future generations.

P.S. Special thank you to Jeff Tracy Photography for the wonderful photos.

Looking forward to taking part in this discussion. If you have yet to see the exhibit, it is well worth your time.

It’s always great to showcase Wilson’s beautiful waterfront, especially when it’s supporting such a worthy cause such as Catching Dreams Charters. Make sure to get those nominations in!

Thank you to everyone who helped put on this incredible ceremony to honor Purple Heart Day. It was an honor to speak and pay thanks to those across our community who went above and beyond for our freedoms.

I encourage residents to come down to the County Court House and view the the Purple Heart Book of Honor Display.

Please consider joining us for this brief event.

Congratulations to Paul Olszewski on earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout!

It was an honor to attend Paul’s Court of Honor yesterday and present him with a legislative proclamation recognizing this outstanding achievement. Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is a testament to years of dedication, leadership, service, and perseverance.

Congratulations to Paul, his family, and everyone with Cambria Troop 8 who helped him reach this incredible milestone. Wishing him continued success in all that lies ahead!

On Friday, I joined Legislators Nemi and Abbott to honor the memory of four Civil War soldiers laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery: Hugh Gleason, Michael Slattery, Michael Owens, and James Morris.

Thank you to Cookie Butcher for organizing this meaningful ceremony, ensuring that the service and sacrifice of these brave men are never forgotten. Their courage during our nation’s bloodiest war helped preserve the Union and the freedoms we enjoy today. We remain forever grateful for their sacrifice.

New York State and ORES continue to trample on home rule but Niagara County will keep fighting.

New York State and ORES continue to trample on home rule but Niagara County will keep fighting.

Niagara County has rejected all requests for Highway Work Permits for the Bear Ridge Solar Project. The county also states that the state Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) overstepped its legal authority in granting permission to enter county rights-of-way.
