🔴 BREAKING 🔴 Residents Raise Concerns Over Contaminated Drinking Water in San Benito, Texas 💧😳

Residents of the Bent Tree community, located on the outskirts of San Benito, Texas, say they are frustrated and concerned about what they describe as contaminated drinking water coming from their taps.

Photos shared on social media appear to show yellow or "chocolate-colored" water coming from faucets, showers, garden hoses, and washing machines. Many residents say they are tired of dealing with the issue and worry about the potential health risks to their families.

The Military Highway Water Supply Corporation (MHWSC) has had a boil water notice in effect for several subdivisions in the area, including Bent Tree, since 2025 as a precautionary measure.

Some residents also claim they have experienced stomach illnesses, eye irritation, and skin problems, which they believe may be related to the water. However, these reports have not been independently confirmed. Others say that even after boiling the water, it still appears discolored and are especially concerned about the impact on children, seniors, and pets.

To protect their families, some homeowners have purchased water filtration systems while waiting for a long-term solution.

According to residents, they have not yet received a response from City of San Benito officials regarding their concerns.

This is the kind of leadership Cameron County needs, leaders who stay connected to the people, remain humble, and understand that public office is about serving the community, not serving themselves.

Eddie Treviño Jr. came up short in this election, losing by nearly 2,000 votes. And there’s an old saying that fits this perfectly:

“Tell me who you surround yourself with, and I’ll tell you your future.”

Eddie… your future was decided the moment you allowed a group of people, driven more by ego, personal agendas, inexperience, and a hunger for influence rather than real strategy, to take the steering wheel of your campaign.

Because instead of building support, every day they were out there creating tension. Instead of adding voters, they were adding friction. And in politics, friction turns into resistance… and resistance turns into lost votes.

Meanwhile, Steve didn’t even need to chase those moments, he naturally benefited from every unnecessary conflict being created on your side.

What could have been an easy campaign for you, turned out to be a divided one instead. Instead of bringing people in, it felt like more doors were being closed than opened.

18,134 total votes don’t just appear randomly. Steve Guerra: 10,010. Eddie Treviño: 8,124. That gap is built, not given.

And in a race this close, even small mistakes in judgment… become thousands of votes in outcome.

May this serve as an eye opening to the elected officials in Cameron County, time never stops, and your time will also come, chose wisely who do you let run your campaign, because history some how always repeats itself.

Now, Steve will have his chance, only time will tell the end...

Cameron County Judge runoff results are shaping up to be a victory for Esteban “Steve” Guerra.

During Early Voting, Guerra led the race with 6,886 votes compared to Eddie Treviño Jr.’s 5,809 votes — a lead of more than 1,000 votes. As unofficial results continue coming in, Guerra is currently positioned as the projected winner with 54.24% of the vote, while Eddie Treviño Jr. stands at 45.76%
