Looking for that special mothers day gift? Need a new centerpiece you cant buy in the store? Got a bunch of meat and cheese slices looking to shack up with some crackers but they dont have a home? Then maybe my latest, and largest, wine barrel board is for you! This one is also customizable, either leave it the way it is or add a set of handles for that little extra flare. Pictured last are a couple examples of sold boards with steel and antler handles. Leave it alone and its yours for $80, add metal handles for $100+ depending on material and style, or add real antler handles for $140. Shipping also available at buyers expense. The board measures 23" long by 8" at the widest point. These are actual, used wine barrel staves so there is a significant dip in the center but all have been sanded to make a smooth, seamless transition between boards.

Where my wine lovers at?! Im really digging working with wine barrel staves especially after combining them with one of my other favorites deer antlers. Heres my latest wine inspired board next to my other 2 projects using staves. Whats next using my barrel parts? Stick around and find out.

Now that its made it to its forever home with I can finally reveal a project thats been a few months in the making. Handmade from top to bottom this wine rack table features bottle and glass racks made from wine barrel staves sandwiched between a cream colored frame adorned with handformed scroll work and a twisted basket accent on the bottom. Its topped off with a live edge black walnut slab accented with a black peral epoxy to fill in a few bark inclusions. This was definitely one of the more challenging and fun projects ive worked on in awhile, with a much more elegant feel than most of my more rustic pieces.

Always a good feeling when a piece ia sold before it makes it here. This one got alot of interest tho so i believe a whole barrel is in my future so that many more can be made. Had a few extra wine barrel staves left over from another project and rather than let them go to waste i turned them into something useful. I was able to throw together a couple handles made from twisted wrought iron pieces my dad found in the woods (the story doesnt sell it but i like telling it) and make this into a elegant little charcuterie board. To be honest im not a huge fan of working with wood sometimes but the smell of wine barrel boards is something you cant recreate.
